Irkutsk, Listvyanka and three nights on Olkhon. Seven days of Baikal shores, Siberian urban history and cultural encounters arranged in advance.
7 days / 6 nights · private group · dates on request
Irkutsk — Taltsy — Listvyanka — Olkhon — Irkutsk
At Baikal, distance feels different. The shore reaches towards the horizon, steppe meets water and a village street reminds you that this vast landscape is also someone’s home.
Begin in Irkutsk and approach the lake in stages: Listvyanka offers a first perspective, while three nights on Olkhon allow a closer look at the island. Nature routes connect with urban history and discussion of local culture. Encounters require the host community’s agreement; rituals, initiations and health outcomes are not promised services.
This is an itinerary concept on request, not a confirmed departure. Hotels, guides, transport, visits, price and the final service list are confirmed for each group.
The island has its own place in the journey: different shores, local life and time to observe. A northern outing depends on roads, permits and the group’s abilities.
Discuss the lake and visiting rules with a guide. A cultural encounter can be arranged; sacred places are approached with respect for local restrictions.
Urban history, Taltsy and Listvyanka set the context for the island stay. A final Irkutsk night separates the long return transfer from departure.
For nature and cultural communities, private groups and partners seeking a distinct Siberian itinerary. Suits travellers prepared for longer transfers and simpler island infrastructure. The route is quoted from Irkutsk; international travel and transit require separate planning.
Explore the key places along the journey. Browse the photographs; the detailed day-by-day itinerary follows below.

Wooden houses and façade details introduce the city before the lake. Irkutsk is both the cultural opening and the return point before departure.

Museum buildings reveal everyday life and building traditions around Baikal. Available displays and visiting times are confirmed separately.

The lakeside settlement offers a first sense of Baikal’s scale. Walks and a museum theme are chosen for the group, without requiring a water activity.

Shaman Rock brings together a striking shore and the island’s cultural memory. Local traditions are approached respectfully; ritual participation is never a condition of travel.
Photographs illustrate places, not a guaranteed season, weather or specific service.
Irkutsk: 2 + 1 nights · Olkhon: 3 nights
Open a day for details. The order of visits is refined when your journey is planned.
Transfer, hotel check-in and a welcome meeting. A suitable arrival time may allow a short walk through historic Irkutsk. Discuss the route, island accommodation and environmental rules.
Overnight in Irkutsk. Flights to Irkutsk and transit nights are agreed separately.
Travel towards the lake via a selected museum focus at Taltsy. In Listvyanka, discover the shore and discuss Baikal’s natural history; choose a museum visit according to availability. Return to Irkutsk before the next day’s island transfer.
Overnight in Irkutsk. Tickets, meals and visits are confirmed beforehand.
Dedicate the day to the island transfer under the current transport arrangements. Stops, the crossing and arrival depend on season and conditions. After check-in, explore nearby surroundings without a scheduled distant excursion.
Overnight on Olkhon. The transfer may take much of the day; access and permits are checked before confirmation.
Choose a permitted walk near your accommodation and learn about local life. Views around Cape Burkhan depend on visiting rules and access conditions. A cultural conversation requires prior arrangement and includes no promise of rituals or special access.
Overnight on Olkhon. Walking distances are adapted to the group.
Depending on current conditions, choose a northern island route or a nearer nature programme. A local guide helps confirm transport, permissions and duration. Allow time for observation, photographs and meals; shore areas are not assumed to permit unrestricted vehicle access.
Overnight on Olkhon. Difficult roads or weather may require an agreed alternative.
Return to the mainland and Irkutsk under the confirmed transport arrangements. The day allows for travel and possible delays. After check-in, a shared dinner can bring together the journey’s natural and cultural impressions.
Overnight in Irkutsk. Crossing and road conditions may require schedule changes or extra contingency time.
Transfer for the agreed departure. Domestic connections and onward international travel are included in individual logistics planning. Any extension is discussed separately.
The base summer concept is seven days and six nights.
Build the journey around architecture, museums, crafts, food and conversations with local people. Special encounters are arranged after agreement.
Allow room for a thematic meeting or a session led by your own host. Venue, interpreting and content are included in the planning process.
Adjust walking, service, accommodation and breaks to the travellers. Suitable arrangements for children or reduced mobility are checked separately.
The main concept is for warmer months, approximately June–September, subject to crossing, road and accommodation checks. Winter Baikal requires a separate itinerary and current-rule checks; this page promises neither travel on ice nor ice-crossing availability.
Three nights in Irkutsk and three on Olkhon: confirm room category, bathroom arrangements, heating or cooling, meals and guiding language. Island infrastructure differs from the city; required facilities are checked before selecting accommodation.
Longer transfers, uneven roads, shore paths, wind and temperature changes affect the activity level. Choose permitted areas suited to the group. Cruises, swimming, remote expeditions and ritual experiences are not automatically included.
Agree six nights’ accommodation, ground transfers, the current Olkhon crossing arrangements, guiding and selected tickets. Protected-area permits, meals, nature outings and cultural encounters are specified in the proposal. Flights to and from Irkutsk are considered separately.
Unless your individual proposal states otherwise, international flights, visa expenses, insurance, personal purchases, single-room supplements, tips and additional activities are considered separately. Documentation and insurance requirements are checked against the programme actually selected.
The quotation is prepared for your group after confirming season, numbers, accommodation, guiding language, meals and special activities. The proposal specifies inclusions, supplements, confirmation steps and change conditions. Publishing an itinerary does not confirm a price or service availability.
Before booking, check entry requirements for each traveller’s nationality, current official advice, location restrictions, insurance, transport and payment arrangements. Acceptance of a particular foreign bank card is not promised. Required permits and expenses are identified in the agreed service list.
This is a tailor-made itinerary outline. Dates, group composition and services are agreed before quotation and confirmation. Publication does not mean an open departure or reserved places.
The guiding language is specified in the proposal. International groups can request English; Hindi, Turkish, German and other languages require a separate availability check. Website translations do not confirm a guide in every language on every date.
Tell us your specific requirements: vegetarian or Jain meals, halal preferences, ingredient restrictions and allergies. We check the selected hotels and restaurants. The confirmed menu and preparation arrangements are agreed separately; preferences are never assumed from nationality.
Yes. Discuss thematic sessions, activities and time for your group. Host, venue, equipment, interpreting and schedule are confirmed separately. Evgenia Maslova or any other named author is not automatically included.
Include your company, source market, numbers, proposed dates and group requirements in the itinerary enquiry. WST’s partnership page is available for cooperation discussions. Commercial terms are agreed separately; this itinerary creates no new automatic discounts or commissions.
Tell us your group size, dates, language, interests and dietary requests. We will prepare a tailored itinerary outline and quotation.
